In order to have an optimal experience it is very important that you prepare yourself both mentally and physically. If you are a healthy person without health issues, it's perfectly fine to give your body a break from food. However, if you have health concerns, please speak with your physician before starting a cleanse.

Two to three days prior to beginning the cleanse it is best to eliminate or greatly reduce the consumption of:

  • Alcohol
  • Caffeine
  • Soft drinks
  • Red meat
  • Cured or processed meat (bacon, sausages, etc.)
  • White flour products (pasta, bread, cookies, crackers)
  • Foods that contain hydrogenated fats and preservatives
  • Refined sugars and all products containing them
  • Dairy
  • Fried foods
  • All genetically modified foods
  • Canned foods

Water consumption should also be increased as it helps flush out the toxins and prepare your body for the cleanse.

Start your day out with a cup of herbal tea with lemon.

Drink your 4 juices, vegetable soup, and almond milk in order, throughout the day. It is best to consume them at regular intervals (every 2 to 3 hours). For best results, shake each juice and pour over ice and consume the soup warm.

And don't forget to keep drinking plenty of water.

Make sure to keep the juices refrigerated at all times - they are preservative-free, unpasturized, and perishable. If you did not drink the juice on the designated day of the cleanse, please discard it at the end of the day.

First-time cleansers may experience some light-headedness and irratibility on the first day. It can be tough to fight the urge to eat, but if you stick with it, you'll soon feel light and energized.

Another helpful tip while cleansing is to clear your schedule of any social commitments that include food and/or drink.
